Sautory information
Terms of service
The ground rules for keeping and sharing family memories with Sautory.
These terms govern your use of Sautory. By creating an account, accessing the service, or accepting an invitation, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you use Sautory for a family, organisation, or another person, you confirm that you have authority to do so and to accept these terms on their behalf.
1. Accounts and access
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping your credentials and verification codes private, and all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. We may require additional verification, limit access, or suspend an account to protect Sautory and its members.
2. Your content
You keep ownership of the memories, recipes, recordings, photographs, and other content you submit. You give Sautory a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, copy, process, transmit, display, and adapt that content only as necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the features you request. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for limited copies retained in backups, logs, or where required by law.
You confirm that you own or have the permissions needed for content you upload or share, including permissions from people appearing in a photo, recording, story, or other Memory. You are responsible for respecting privacy, confidentiality, copyright, publicity, and other rights.
3. Sharing and Circles
You control who you invite to a Circle and what you share through contribution requests, links, or other features. People you invite may be able to view, download, copy, or re-share content made available to them. Sautory cannot control what a recipient does after you share something, so use care with sensitive information and revoke access when it is no longer needed.
4. AI-assisted features
Sautory may offer transcription, summaries, categorisation, translation, recipe formatting, or other AI-assisted features. These outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate and are provided as drafts for your review. Do not rely on an AI output as legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing and deciding whether to save, share, publish, or print an AI-assisted result.
5. Respect and safety
Do not use Sautory to:
- violate another person's privacy or rights;
- upload unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or harmful content;
- impersonate another person or send spam or unwanted solicitations;
- compromise the service or attempt to access another account; or
- scrape, probe, overload, or reverse engineer Sautory except where applicable law gives you a non-waivable right to do so.
6. Payments and subscriptions
If Sautory offers paid plans, print products, or other purchases, the price, billing interval, taxes, renewal terms, and applicable refund rules will be shown at checkout or in the relevant offer. You authorise the selected payment provider to charge the payment method you provide. Subscriptions may renew until cancelled according to the instructions shown at purchase. Third-party app stores may apply their own terms and refund processes.
7. Service availability and changes
Sautory is provided as it becomes available and may change as we build it. Features may be added, changed, suspended, or discontinued. We may suspend access when necessary for maintenance, security, legal reasons, or a breach of these terms. We will take reasonable steps to preserve access to stored content during planned changes where practical, but you should keep copies of important content.
8. Third-party services
Sautory may connect to third-party services for authentication, storage, payments, email, media processing, or other functionality. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control, including outages, changes, or content they provide.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Sautory at any time and may request account or content deletion through hello@sautory.com. We may suspend or terminate access if needed to protect the service, comply with law, address misuse, or enforce these terms. Sections that by their nature should continue, including content rights, disclaimers, limits of liability, and dispute provisions, will continue after access ends.
10. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sautory is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not promise that the service will always be available, secure, error-free, or that content will never be lost or corrupted. You use Sautory at your own discretion and risk, and you should maintain copies of important Memories and documents.
11. Limits of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sautory and its providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. We will update the date below and provide additional notice for material changes when appropriate. If you continue to use Sautory after the updated terms take effect, you agree to the revised terms.
13. Contact
